The Nogal Collection

The Nogal Credenza
$3,425.00

The “Nogal” credenza combines sleek modern design and contemporary comforts to redefine handmade heirloom quality furniture. Inspired by nature and nostalgia, the design features the best of both worlds; quality materials and timeless style.

Hand-crafted from solid Peruvian Walnut, the credenza boasts a sleek low-profile form. Beveled edgework creates a seamless transition to three soft close drawers and a pair of sliding doors. The top drawer conceals a recessed power dock for conveniently charging small electronics, while the other drawers offer additional storage space. The pair of sliding doors reveal a spacious interior, illuminated by an LED fixture that is activated with the motion of the door. Custom hardware is showcased on each drawer front and sliding door, designed foremost to be functional but also alluring.

The natural oil finish provides excellent protection while accentuating the natural features of the wood. To renew or restore the finish, simply reapply when needed!

The Nogal Coffee Table- Fumed White Oak Edition
from $1,800.00

The Nogal Coffee Table is the third piece to be added to our Nogal Collection. Exposed end grain, beveled edges, fumed grain and a naturally smooth finish are just a few things this table features. A large push-to-open drawer keeps things sleek yet functional with three partitions for organized storage. The center partition also includes 6 solid oak coasters with a custom built-in coaster tray. The solid white oak construction (even down to the drawer bottom panel) makes for an heirloom quality piece that will stand the test of time.

The two previous pieces in our Nogal Collection feature walnut, however, for this third piece we wanted to use something different while still keeping to darker tones. Having an affinity toward rich antique fumed oak furniture, we decided that fumed white oak would be a great way to showcase the history of oak furniture while still achieving a darker toned wood. The fuming process involves exposing the table to solvent vapors that react with the wood tannins and cause the wood to darken. After fuming, a tinted hardwax oil finish is applied to further deepen the color of the oak.

This piece is also available in Walnut, Maple and Peruvian Walnut (without the fuming). If you are interested in another wood type or custom sizing, please feel free to contact us!

Cleaning and Care:

Avoid using furniture polish or solvant based cleaners as they may cause damage to the finish. A damp mircofiber cloth can be used for general dusting and cleaning.

Walnut End-Grain Cutting Board
from $205.00

End-grain cutting boards are best known for their durability, however, they also thrive in maintaining the sharpness of your knife. Rather than the knife cutting the wood fibers with each chop, the end grain wood allows the knife to slide between the fibers, preventing excessive knife dulling. This also helps hide those pesky knife marks we all hate. If you enjoy cooking, end grain boards are the way to go!

Walnut

Oh the classic end-grain walnut cutting board. Walnut is an amazing hardwood for cutting boards due to its food-safe qualities and softer structure keeping your knives sharper for longer. Its natural beauty is sure to standout in any kitchen.

Finishing

All of our cutting boards go through a two-part finishing process. First, each board is soaked in food-grade mineral oil until completely saturated. To finish off, our homemade board wax (carnauba-beeswax blend) is buffed into the surface for added protection and sheen.

Features

Our cutting boards are made with sleek built in handles for easy maneuverability, as well as custom made legs for additional height. They also look pretty good too. Juice grooves (1/4”) are also available for all cutting boards.

Shipping

You can rest assured! Shipping is included in the purchase of any of our cutting boards.

Since all of our cutting boards are made to order, please allow 2-3 weeks for processing and delivery.

Please be aware that wood grain patterns may vary between boards but we do our best to be consistent with our product photos

Maple

All end-grain cutting boards are durable, but hard-maple is definitely at the top of the list. Its subtle neutral color tones allow maple to blend into any kitchen design. Have you ever felt the ultra smooth touch of a freshly made maple cutting board? I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Pro tip: Make sure your keep your maple board hydrated! It dries out quicker than other boards which can cause prematuring cracking. However, if maintained properly it can last for decades!

18th Century Hepplewhite Mahogany Sideboard
$4,950.00

Monumental Hepplewhite (of period) mahogany sideboard circa 1780-1820, featuring satinwood string inlay, of period brass hardware and cuffed tapered legs. Each cabinet contains individual locks operated by seperate keys. The large drawer is constructed from white pine and jointed with hand cut dovetails. The drawer bottom has been lined with a green felt (not of period). The top, side panels and legs are crafted from solid mahogany, with white pine being the secondary wood contructing the framework and interior. Limited information pertaining to its history is available, however, this item was recently acquired from an estate out of Virginia.

Condition:

The sideboard is in overall excellent condition, however there is evidence of previous repairs. The mahogany top has been reinforced from the underside in several places where some minor cracking was present. The banded inlay along the bottom edge of the sideboard and areas of the cuffed legs shows evidence of repair. There are still some minor spots where some of the banded inlay has chipped away (left side panel and several minor spots on the cuffed legs). The left side panel has evidence of repair from a previous crack along the joint. The brass hardware is likely not original to the sideboard as there is evidence of them being replaced at one point in time. However, the present hardware does appear to be of period. Some of the locks have likely been replaced. The key that is present with the sideboard only turns the left cabinet lock. Unfortunately, the locks on the other two cabinets and drawer do not have keys present. The finish is in restored condition and displays very well.

We are happy to answer any specific questions pertaining to the condition as well as send additional photos per request.

1950's MCM Italian Walnut Sideboard with Flip Top Bar
$5,200.00

Monumental Italian sideboard circa 1950's featuring a flip top bar with a spectacular illuminated mirrored interior, walnut veneered exterior, solid teak legs and ample storage!

The flip top bar cabinet illuminates upon opening via the original 1950's switch (rewired with modern 20 gauge wire). The lighting has also been updated to LED and is powered by a standard 120V outlet. The bar cabinet features separate partitions (which may be hard to visualize in the photos due to the mirror reflections). The front partition has bottom and top shelf storage (removable top shelf) with a mirror reflecting the bottom half. The rear partition is smaller than the front, and is used for bottle storage. There are two mirrors within the partition for bottle storage. A large mirror covering the back (original to the piece) and a smaller mirror located just under the shelf, which creates an infinity mirror effect.

The left cabinet features a large adjustable storage shelf and the center cabinet is divided into two separate partitions. The left partition is an open storage interior and the right partition features an adjustable shelf. Two drawers are located under the center cabinet for additional storage. The right drawer is used for utensil storage and contains the original red felt interior.

Dimensions:
Sideboard: 94.5" Width, 18.75" Depth, 30.5" Height
Left Cabinet Interior (without shelf): 27.25" Width, 17.5"Depth, 16.75" Height
Center Cabinet (Right and Left): 17.25" Width, 17.25" Depth, 11.5" Height
Bar Cabinet Shelf: 27.25" Width, 11.25" Depth
Bar Cabinet Front Partition: 27.25" Width, 9" Depth, 10" Height
Bar Cabinet Rear Partition: 27.25" Width, 5.5" Depth, 16.75" Height
Drawer Interior: 16" Width, 15.5" Depth, 3.5" Height

Condition:
This piece is in restored condition, however, that does not mean it is without flaw. Small imperfections in the veneer can be seen on either side panel, as well as minor veneer damage on the edges of several cabinet doors. Other minor imperfections such as marks and underlying veneer repair may be noticed on the top with close inspection. The cabinet interiors also have evidence of wear, most notable on the left cabinet interior where a previous repair was made. A water mark is also present on the left interior cabinet, as well as the bottle storage partition. The original felt interior of the right drawer also has some wear, however, is it limited to just several small spots. All hardware is original to the piece (excluding the flip top bar support). Each brass piece has been restored to a polished satin finish.

All of the interior removable shelves are newly constructed and finished to match the original interior. Both of the smaller mirrors are also newly installed. The interior and exterior have been lacquered in a satin sheen.

Unfortunately, the original key was missing at the time we acquired the piece.

BEFORE PURCHASING, PLEASE CONSIDER INQUIRING ABOUT ADDITIONAL PHOTOS OF THE SIDEBOARD. Unfortunately we are limited to the amount we can post. If interested, please feel free to email us as delarodesigns@gmail.com.
