Birdseye Maple Woman's Secretary Desk
Truly one-of-a-kind birds eye maple secretary! Beautiful patinaed birds eye veneer with a solid oak frame, solid brass (and brass finish) hardware, lock and key, serpentine front and side profile, Louis XV styled bowed legs, and birds eye maple bottom drawer.
The desk has some evidence of veneer repair on the lower left leg and the back side of the right leg. Each have been repaired with birds eye maple veneer and finished to match the oil finish on the desk (with hopes it will patina in time to match). There is also some staining on the interior of the desk although most have been significantly lightened during repair. The bail and drop hardware has been replaced due to a missing piece on the original hardware (available upon request).
