Brass-Adorned French Commode with Double Marble Top
This French commode boasts beautiful kingswood and burl veneer, striking solid cast brass overlay on its front, and a curved kettle shaped body. Topped by a heavy double marble, it contrasts elegantly with the ornate brass and woodwork.
Condition:
Minor veneer wear can be seen in several locations, most notably the around the legs and drawer fronts. Other minor imperfections may also be noticed upon close inspection (small dings and finish wear). Some sun damage can also be noticed on several spots on the drawer fronts (see photos and video). Brass overlay is in excellent condition. The marble top is in excellent condition with minimal surface wear and minor chipping in one spot along the back edge. The drawers are in good functional condition, however, the bottom drawer side has some damage from rubbing.
