French Trefoil Vitrine with Painted Panels

Early 20th century mahogany vitrine featuring ormolu mounts, bow-front glass pane door with painted panels, bowed sides and stylized cabriole legs. The interior contains a pair of tempered glass shelves and a Emory colored fabric lined back panel. The vitrine has its original shellac finish (has been restored), displaying a rich deep patina. The original lock and key are functional.

Condition:

The vitrine is in restored vintage condition and displays very well. The original shellac finish is in good condition and has been restored (however, minor imperfections may still be noticed with close inspection). All solid brass ormolu has been polished. Custom tempered glass shelves were fabricated due to missing original shelves. The interior fabric backing is also newly installed. The painted panels are in good condition with some minor crazing and wear. Some imperfections of the wood substrate are present on the exterior, however, they are minor and only noticed upon close inspection. Please see photos as a continuation of the condition report.
