Vintage Quarter Sawn Oak Sideboard
This French country style sideboard features solid wood construction, original brass hardware, and carved wood details. The sideboards clear finish has been revived with a fresh coat of satin lacquer. The majority of the interior and exterior of the sideboard is constructed from quarter sawn oak (tiger oak) including the newly constructed interior shelves made from solid 3/4" thick quarter sawn oak. The brass hardware is original to the piece and vary in condition. The drawer pulls are solid brass (polished and lacquered), the hinges are brass plated (some of the brass plate is worn through on a few of the hinges) and the escutcheons have been relacquered to match the brass hardware (visible wear is present in the metal). Each cabinet features a lock, which are all functional with the original solid brass key. All hardware imperfections are only noticeable with close inspection. Each drawer functions well, however, there is some wear present in the wood slides due to the age of the piece (doesn't effect their function). A small water stain is present on the interior bottom right shelf (please feel free to reach out for photos as we are limited in the number we can post).
